450 calories for one cup. Needless to say, I budget my entire day around it. 🥲

Nothing wrong with going over your calorie count for one day/evening. It’s the holidays! You should enjoy your eggnog 🙂

hi. that sucks abt ur favorite brand of eggnog 🙁 im sorry

i make eggnogg for my friends and family each year from scratch.
its abt 140 calories per 50ml (one glass) and i completely love it. (heres the recipe, if u are interested. its simple, but yummy)

    recipe:
    7egg yolks
7 tablespoons of sugar (i use home made vanilla sugar)
    1 condensed milk unsweetened
    1 sweetened condensed milk
    0.4L rum
    0.3L vodka

u can add vanilla extract for more flavor / cinammon / caramel,…. beat yolks + sugar together. mix in condensed milks. add alcohol.

Most eggnog servings that I’ve seen are measured in half cups and are over 200 calories, so this tracks honestly

Once in a while a lil treat is fine. What’s the point if you aren’t enjoying youself?

I love eggnog but can’t justify the calories when losing weight. Something I’ve found recently is unsweetened almond milk and the Davinci SF eggnog syrup. It’s amazing and 30 cal for 1 cup. Tastes like real eggnog. You could put a thickener in there to get that thickness but it’s not necessary.

Alternatively, Target (in the US at least) sells Almond nog and Oat nog for 70-80 cals a cup. You can always work regular eggnog into your budget tho, it’s a preference.

I’m not going crazy but I’ve definitely decided to up my limit to 1600 until the new year.

Holiday season PSA: Eggnog calories don’t count. Magic of Christmas and all that.

I don’t like eggnog BUT I love Hartzler Vanilla milk 🤤

Ugggh I couldn’t agree more. The calorie info definitely made me slow down on drinking it this year. But I’m still having some, Hartzler eggnog is my favorite holiday indulgence!

I love eggnog so much. I usually do Half a cup mixed with half a cup of almond milk so I can get the look of having a full glass but only some of the calories but winter is difficult.

I also only allow eggnog from Thanksgiving to New Year’s to cut down on the time frame of having it

I can’t find an eggnog that beats classic AE (240 calories)

I put a cup of it in the freezer for about 30min and then pour a double shot of espresso over it

    Nothing better

Eh, it’s the holidays and eggnog is seasonal. I say enjoy it 🙂

Glad I don’t like eggnog but I just wanna know HOW. Like what is in it to make that even be possible. Anyways you’ll be okay as long as egg nog isn’t for the whole year enjoy something you like but damn how. My friend is trying to gain weight I’m about to send him three cases of this

It’s illegal to sell stuff without a nutrition label unless you were getting it at a weird farmers market.

Lots of people say “just enjoy it! Once a year blah blah!” But personally I could easily down a cup or two in a sitting and that’s 800-1000 calories, over half my daily allowance.

    But I love it so…!

What I’m doing this year is using it in my ninja creamis instead. One cup nog, a half cup fat free milk, and a bit of stevia. What I get is the exact flavor profile I am looking for, and eating it rather than drinking it makes it last longer. I also only eat half in a sitting so rather than drink a cup for around 400 I’ll eat half a container for around 250.

If you don’t have a ninja creami I’d bet my lunch money there are recipes online to make egg nog ice cream without any fancy equipment.

Also my fave is Homestead Creamery; $9 for a quart (in the glass bottle) but it’s soooooo good. And at least they do bottle returns.

They’ve always had nutrition labels. By far the best eggnog on earth.

I got a ninja creami this year and discovered that egg nog makes tasty, perfectly textured ice cream. It helps me keep my egg nog consumption down to just a few bites at a time whenever I’m hankering for some nog.

Holy bananas! There’s an almond milk eggnog that I think is made by silk that only has 100 cal a cup and it’s pretty good

Hartzler, my beloved 🫶 I only let myself get the 12oz bottles for the same reason

  21. LittleBlag

I’d almost be more upset about the 45g of sugar per serving tbh that is insane
