Millennials boosting an industry (rheumatology) for once, instead of ruining it! Good game, team

  2. As someone who was genetically dealt the king’s disease if uric acid isn’t maintained properly, it’s not just sardines, it’s anything food and drink wise that’s purine rich (beef, offal, Lamb, bison, shellfish, beer, grain liquors).

That being said there’s secrets/mitigation to being able to keep eating all that and not get an attack (aka uric acid buildup). Something my sibling and I stand by to eliminate any possibility cause we absolutely love eating things like sardines and shellfish.

Edit: the secret isn’t a secret really, just buy tart cherry concentrate pills produced domestically to you so you don’t end up like [Bobby Hill](https://youtu.be/WNzK-QaaYic?si=-cMsDq2rsyDIeHOi), at least in the great white North, [goutrin](https://organika.com/products/goutrin?srsltid=AfmBOopjVMFjU2UYZlAMoFPl-3dIc7wk-KNXS2asei04vrdYnn_bbwN1) in my experience works but [these also work ](https://www.canadianvitaminshop.com/cdn/shop/files/natural-factors-cherryrich-cherry-concentrate-180-sgels-5188_2cf9ec16-258e-4fa7-9a05-acdc93877f7b.png?height=600&v=1727929976)

I have gout and sardines don’t affect it at all. Also: Allopurinal is a miracle drug!

  4. Had my first flare up a little over 2 years ago and I think it was more alcohol related. I’m 35 days dry and my Uric Acid levels are going down.

Hopefully I can still enjoy my occasional tinned fish without any severe repercussions.

This was an entire episode of King of The Hill, too many celebrity chicken liver sandwiches, “My boy is NOT a ghoul!”

I get the gout if I eat a few cans a week. Very unfortunate. I have to really ration myself on the cans I eat.
