Kitsu Nori opens on Saturday in a familiar South Lamar retail center. James Beard Award-winning chef Paul Qui intends to eventually serve sushi made only with fish from coastal waters around North America, from ocean trout to lobster, scallops and uni.

Ugh. Why?
Is it lab grown like the salmon at Otoko?

Ew go away
What is the familiar South Lamar retail center?
Did they run him out of Houston now too so he came back and hoped we all had short memories?
[Leaving this here for those new to Austin](https://austin.eater.com/2016/3/21/11270354/thc-is-here-to-stay-in-texas).
Also the domestic disturbance should speak for itself but the video or audio of the incident also showed the child was also present during the physical fight which is even more appalling.
Do not support Paul Qui – he has been previously arrested by Austin police and charged with assault after a fight with his girlfriend at their apartment. He smashed a phone, broke a coffee table, and ended up with injuries of his own
Paywalled. Anyone got the story?
One blank blank blank cannot kill your career. Cannot
Nice. Hopefully it’s good. Love all the new Asian spots going in along s Lamar.

Does urban cities actually need more sushi? ffs.
The concept of local fish sushi is a good one vs. constantly flying fish from Japan.
But no one needs another sushi spot and no one wants another Paul Qui venture.
Didnt he just close down a sushi restaurant in Austin? I went once and it was unremarkable as I imagine this place will be.
I ate at East Side King and the only thing memorable is the fact that it was a friends birthday. The food was mid at best.
Then I ate at Thai Kun for another friends event. We ordered chicken wings which were not cooked through – legit RAW. When the waiter came over the said they were fine. The manager came over and told us they were fine. I said “great I’d like to see you eat some.” Manager refused.
Also Paul sucks.
