Creamed spinach, asparagus with goat cheese, mixed salad.

I like to make marinated skirt or flank steak with avocado toast. Crusty bread, avocado, tomato, a little raw jalapeno or some pickled california mix (use the juice for the marinade), maybe some everything seasoning if you like. Put some thinner strips of the steak on the toast or just eat them separately. Grill some mushrooms at the same time.
There’s also nothing wrong with steak and a side of pasta. Fettuccine Alfredo works well with a blackened seasoned steak imo.
I love broccoli salad and garlic bread with steak!

hi !! Haven’t posted in a while because I was on a family-trip last week. And great news, I finally accepted a job offer after resigning from my job in September. Dinners are going to be a lot less fancy soon, but I’m soaking it in. Cooking has really gotten me through this time.
The first three photos are of Baked Ziti, with fried Meatballs, and Garlic Bread. Everything besides the bread itself is homemade- and I was able to bring some containers over to my parents since they miss my cooking. I make the sauce for the ziti from scratch, and use a mixture of Ricotta, Mozzarella, Parmesan, and pecorino Romano. The garlic bread was made with a garlic-oil and I did cheese on some of it too, and the meatballs are made with ground chuck, fresh herbs and spices, breadcrumbs, and cream/milk. Oh, and cheese. So rich but great weekend meal.
Fifth/sixth pictures are of a Chanukah classic. We’re a blended-religion family and I rarely make latkes, since they’re a bit laborious for a potato dish. I’m usually too lazy to make a meat with them and can just keep eating them so no need.. I think I ate a dozen latkes. I do a riff on Melissa Clark’s NYT recipe, using potatoes (any variety), onion, egg, flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, granulated garlic, and parsley. They were awesome.
Seventh pic is of baked Crispy Wings with a sweet potato. I did not follow the cheese-stuffed sweet potato Tiktok trend (IYKYK). I’m not opposed to the combo but eating the potato with my hands.. I’m too messy for that. I do butter, brown sugar, salt, and pepper on mine. The wings are half Buffalo and half BBQ.
Tonight I want to make steak but I need a different side. I am rice’d and potato’d out – please help.
Have a great week and happy holidays.

Love me some asparagus. Always a super easy veg.
I also have been obsessed with this zucchini/fennel salad. Coming from someone who isnβt the biggest zucchini fan. But hear me out, you cut it super thin length wise with a mandolin (plus the fennel and some shallot), mix it with fresh dill, mint, and parsley (maybe some sumac), add some oil, lemon (or vinegar), and you could throw in pine nuts
Cheesy cauliflower, pasta any way you wanna make it, broccoli, broccoli casserole, sesame oil green beans, asparagus roasted with garlic, cucumber tomato salad, any salad really, corn on the cob, elote, spinach

Lol as soon as I saw steak I thought “Potatoes!”. But maybe veggies? Grilled asparagus tossed in oil, salt, pepper and some sugar is tasty. Maybe some fried brussel sprouts with a tasty gremolata? Roasted diced butternut squash and apples with shallots is π€. And I just have to say, baby potatoes parboiled then tossed in bacon fat and smashed on a sheet tray then roasted is, I know you don’t want them but, simply delicious.

Vegetables?
Steak and eggs
Green beans, asparagus, mac and cheese, a nice salad
I’m making this as a side with my steak tonight! [https://homemadetasty.com/roasted-broccoli-and-carrots/](https://homemadetasty.com/roasted-broccoli-and-carrots/)
How about some [roasted Moroccan carrots](https://gingerwithspice.com/moroccan-oven-roasted-carrots/)?
Any roasted veggie you like. Roasting just makes it better. We do broccoli, asparagus or brussel sprouts often.
Sweet potatoes are another side we like too.
My son loves rice pilaf and wild rice, but I’m not as fond of those.
Stuffed mushrooms or blistered shishito peppers with coarse salt go really well with steaks!
Creamed spinach. Cheesy corn. Corn pudding.
Green beans, glazed carrots, big salad
SautΓ©ed mushrooms in butter and a splash of white wine!

Spaghetti with garlic and oil. Soaks up the steak juice on the plate. Add some roasted or seared broccoli; spinach sautΓ©ed with garlic; or green beans braised with garlic and tomatoes.
Asparagus, broccolini, baked apples, cottage cheese, Butternut squash (even better if you can find it precut and frozen).
Shrimp skewer, if youβre feelinβ fancy!
Looks great by the way!
Pasta?
Oh my goodness, they all look absolutely delicious. I like a dish of sautΓ©ed mushrooms and onions with my steak.
My son found a can of artichoke hearts and sautΓ©ed them with some seasonings- they were delicious with steak!

The next meal (pic 4) is a classic in my house – some sort of steak, rice, and Brussels sprouts. The cut of steak is Sirloin Flap Meat- which I buy at Costco. It’s a great price and is very similar to skirt steak, with a little more marbling. I introduced my fiancΓ© to this cut and it’s his second favorite cut now, just behind ribeye. I cook the Brussels sprouts on a hot sheet pan with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, bacon, and brown sugar.

Eighth and final pictures is of a simple classic – Grilled Chicken and rice. Marinated chicken breast in Olive Oil, Soy Sauce, Lemon Juice, Worcestershire Sauce, fresh garlic, and herbs. It’s tasty and fits my fiancΓ©s macros.
