First time making fresh pasta on a kitchen aid and I don’t know if it’s the attachment or my error but the strands always cut in pairs and never cuts individually cleanly. Needs to be pulled apart
I used to hand cut then used the manual roller ones which never had an issue.

What thickness number did you flatten to before switching to the cutter?
Did you try to cook any like that? Might be interesting (or just come apart anyways). Some things that are now common started off as mistakes that worked.
As opposed to one dimensional fettuccine??
