Hi,
The springs pull my lid up and off the bottom in the back of my BGE ever so slightly. This causes air to come in through the gap so I've struggled to keep a low temp in the BGE even with Marabu cuba coal.
Tips and suggestions are appreciated!

Why dont you close the egg, loosen the collar, let it settle down flat and then tighten the collar again, its not difficult, the bolt is right by your test napkin.
loosen that horizontal bolt and let the dome settle down a little more. Do this with springs on. Just push down the dome, and tighten back up the horizontal bolt.
i had this same issue with my new egg this July. the adjustments i found and tried on YT and here didn’t fix the issue.
the vendor came out under his own warranty and adjusted the dome and base bands (hinge side) to be lifted and lowered respectively.
adjustments
* with the lid closed and springs removed; loosen the bands as if you were going to adjust for over/under bite and also loosen the deformed tension bolts
* the bands should be slightly loose but still hold their position
* gently press the hinge side of the dome and base bands such that they are no longer parallel.
* only small changes and then tighten bolts back and check the gap with springs and paper again, keep adjusting as needed (took about 1 hour)
* its tedious but better than a leaky and broken/useless equipment
* no issues on any cooks so far, no deformation or cracking on egg either
I had the same problem you had after having it assembled professionally so I just got the replacement gasket in. It solved it for me.
Replace the felt….
