Saw people posting sales at the big box stores. Found this at my local Lowe's for $251 ($238 after 5% off) so I pulled the trigger. I thought that was a good price and I've been eyeing this up for some time now.

It's my 3rd weber and I've been smoking on my 22" kettle for years but thought it was time for a dedicated smoker. My kettle did a good job but it required a lot of babysitting and the space was very limited.

I had looked at an electric pit boss on sale this week but the reviews were poor, I like the simplicity of charcoal and weber has never let me down.

I'm still keeping my kettle along with my genesis and my 36" blackstone. They all have a purpose and I don't feel like there's one grill that does everything well.

It might also give me an excuse to build the cook porch I've always wanted.

I'm smoking a turkey for Christmas but practicing with a pork loin and some bone in chicken thighs today to get a feel for it.

Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated.

Did the same except I picked up the WSM22. The kettle is great and it’ll keep getting plenty of use but it’ll be nice to fit a whole brisket and ribs without having to worry about any part of it sitting directly above the flame

I got mine on clearance too, but mine leaks really bad around the top of the door and around the lid…like, really bad. I tried gasket tape, but havent been able to get it to work well.

But I’ve seen them do really great and wish you the best of luck!
