So I have a small tradition of going to the Driskill on my birthday to have their chocolate cake. It was an incredible cake – decadent, amazing, and using their original recipe from the 19th century.

I went this year and found it was changed. It's fine, but pretty ordinary. That's a blob of whipped cream in the corner, if you're wondering. It was not worth making a special trip for.

Apparently other things have changed too. They used to make a fantastic bloody Mary in-house, but now it comes from a mix (we asked, staff told us).

A bit disappointing all in all.
