A brand new Italian eatery is set to open in an Essex town. Trattoria Italiana has announced that it will be opening early next year in Ongar.
It is set to have everything from fresh pasta to wood-fired pizzas. The new restaurant will be an ‘authentic’ Italian on the high street, being run by Sicilian chefs.
Owners have confirmed that the new eatery will be open on January 7 2026. They have also shared that tables are already filling fast – so if you want to try, you’ll have to book soon!
The restaurant shared on socials: “We’re opening! Trattoria Italiana has arrived in Essex. We’re excited to welcome you to Trattoria Italiana, bringing authentic Italian cuisine to 1 Coopers Hill, Ongar, Essex, CM5 9EE, opening from 7 January 2026.
