LuxExclusive Marketing, in association with WGFAD, brought the international “100 Years of Burrata” celebration to India for the first time. The two-day culinary event was held on December 16 and 17, 2025, at EVE Worli, Mumbai, marking a significant moment for India’s fine dining and food culture landscape.
The event featured Michelin Star Chef Giovanni Papi, who curated an exclusive dining experience centred on Burrata, a traditional Italian cheese that originated in Andria, Puglia, in the early 1920s. The celebration highlighted the cheese’s 100-year journey from a regional product to a globally recognised culinary staple.
On December 16, Chef Papi hosted a private Chef’s Table for a select group of invited guests, offering insight into Italian culinary techniques and ingredient-led cooking. The main celebration on December 17 brought together professionals from the hospitality, media, and lifestyle sectors.
Speaking at the event, Giovanni Papi said: “Burrata is the heart and soul of Italian food—a century of artisanal craftsmanship and passion. I am honoured to celebrate this milestone in Mumbai and share the real tastes of my home country with India’s versatile eaters. It’s not just about cheese; it’s about keeping alive and honouring a culinary tradition that has touched people all over the world.”
A key highlight was the launch of a commemorative book documenting Burrata’s 100-year history, co-authored by Doug Singer, Flavel Monteiro, and Sumit Govind Sharma, Founder, LuxExclusive Marketing. The book has previously received international recognition at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
