MARQUETTE COUNTY (WLUC) – A nonprofit in Marquette County looks to make sure everyone has a meal this Christmas.

The Kiwanis Club of Marquette is now taking orders for its free community Christmas Eve dinner.

You can call 1-855-500-0919 to tell them the number of free meals you need. The group will be delivering food Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The meal includes turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce and, of course, pie.

Organizer Dan Crothers says it’s their way of giving back.

“It was intended to help people in need, but we really recognized over the years that some people are just home alone, and they would like to have a meal, or they are traveling, they are going to different places, so they can pick up a meal as well and take it on their journey,” Crothers said.

Crothers says they are prepared to serve over 500 meals.
