Kenny Chesney brought some holiday cheer to one Boston’s most popular Italian restaurants this past weekend.

The country music megastar stopped by Strega in the North End Saturday, Dec. 20, according to a Facebook post from the restaurant.

“Brunch with a little buona fortuna,” the post read. “Owner Nick Varano welcoming country music icon Kenny Chesney to Strega North End this morning celebrating Boston tradition with the classic Italian horn for good luck. Good food, great company, and even better vibes in the North End.”

During his stay, Chesney indulged in the Strega meatballs, chicken cutlets, tomato salad and “That’s Amore” pasta. The Country Music Hall of Fame inductee was also extremely kind and generous with staff, and even joined fellow customers as they sang his hit “Get Along,” according to a video sent to MassLive.

“Merry Christmas from Boston,” Strega wrote in an Instagram post. “When a country legend stops by and the whole room joins in on the holiday cheer, this is what the season is all about. ❤️💚 Thank you, Kenny Chesney, for spreading the joy with us. From our family to yours, wishing you a Christmas filled with love, music, and unforgettable moments.”
