The annual free concert was moved from the band hall due to the crowd
A constant in the village since 1872, the Emigsville Band performed their annual holiday concert at the Alert Fire Co. Dec. 21, 2025.
Neama’s Egyptian Food, a restaurant offering Egyptian and Mediterranean halal cuisine, has announced it will close by the end of December.
According to an announcement on its Facebook page, owner Neama Khalil wrote “visit us and say goodbye, at our current location, 24 N. George St., York, before closing at the end of this month.”
Khalil said her last day of business will be Wednesday, Dec. 31. She once hoped to open a second location, but for now, she has no plans moving forward.
Neama’s Egyptian Food is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
