LAPEER, Mich. — Serenity House in Lapeer hosted a community Christmas dinner, bringing together 30 sponsored families for a festive meal.
Each guest also received a special Christmas dinner basket to take home.
Interim Executive Director Darci Pickett says the event is meant to help people get through what can be a hard time in the year.
“Holidays sometimes can be really hard for the community that we serve, and we just want to be able to be there and be supportive and just things like this fill our hearts to be able to give back in this way,” said Pickett.
Serenity House is accepting donations to support their mission.
