    Ingredients:
    -1 cup of basmati white rice
    -1/2 cup olive oil
    -2 large yellow onions
    -2 cups brown lentils
    -1 teaspoon salt
    -2 teaspoons cumin
    -(optional) rice vinegar

    Note: You can add cayenne for a spicier version!

  2. No matter how hard I try, I can never get lentils to cook right, without fail, every single time, half them end up hard still and the other half end-up as mush…idk what I'm doing wrong, any tips?

  4. In South Lebanon this is Mdardra. Mjadra is made with less rice and excess water and then blended into a porridge texture.

  5. I'm so confused, because a toxin can form also when rice is cooled. And experts also say it is better to make rice in small batches. How to cook rice from frozen?

  8. Wash the lentils and soak them overnight with some bicarbonate soda, otherwise the lentils will be tough and hard to digest. Learn how to cook already

  9. I feel like im the only person on the planet who doesn’t like onions, they’re such a key component of so many cuisines around the world and yet i think they’re horrible. 😂
