TIL about white gyoza, but I cant blame anyone for responding “That’s not gyoza!” It’s a proprietary style of gyoza that’s trademarked by a restaurant in Noda, Chiba pref, so it’s certainly not typical.

They look like a badly drawn manga version of gyoza.
Looked it up and looks like it’s “White Gyoza” at Takashimadaira in Itabashi probably.
It IS gyoza but this ramen shop makes them shaped like that and deep fry them so it’s crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
The place is now definitely going on my must-go list.

For everyone calling this not gyoza, this is from a store called White Gyoza in Takashimadaira, specializing in… of course, gyoza.
Their suigyoza look like northern Chinese dumplings so I wonder if they made the fried ones a different shape to easily distinguish. 美味しそう！
