WIGGINS, Miss. (WLOX) – Plenty of community Christmas celebrations occurred across South Mississippi, including the 19th Annual Sharing and Caring Christmas Luncheon, which took place today at the Stone County Fairgrounds.
Offering both drive-through and dine-in services, there was plenty of food for anyone in Stone County who wanted to stop in.

Volunteer cook Adam Simmons arrived at the Fairgrounds at 11 PM on Christmas Eve to prepare meals. By lunch time, he had prepared 30 full turkeys, 26 hams, 27 pans of dressing and 35 slabs of ribs.
“So thankful, to be able to do this. To have my wife and my kids. Because it’s not just a drive-through,” Simmons said. “You come in, sit down, and it’s family style. You go through the line and everybody sits together. It’s just a whole atmosphere of fellowship.”
Donations from across the South Mississippi community helped bring this event together.
