Hello everyone! I was gifted these three bottles by my father-in-law. Any advice on storing and/or drinking them?

Never tried such expensive wine before (usually below €100).

Drink them soon. They are already mature wines. Let them settle for a week or so at least.

If you don’t drink such wines often and don’t have a crazy developed palette, I’d recommend:

    – Probably nice to drink one with him.

    – Another one with another wine lover or to bring in to a tasting event where you can try other wines as well.

    – another one with your partner.

Wow, that was a great gift as long as they’ve been stored properly all these years

Drink sooner than later, and don’t open a bottle by itself, find a second bottle to pair it with from the same region and in the price range that you are used to drinking. It’s often difficult to appreciate the quality of a wine without comparison. Happy tasting

I assume you were born in 1994, if this was a gift for your birthday I would invite him and open these bottles together. Or wait until your next birthday. These botles are very mature, but I assume if you store them properly 1 extra year wil not make a big difference.

Just make sure that you have some nice food to go with this. This calls for something heavier like duck breasts, harb crusted rack of lamb, ribeye or similar… If cooking isn’t your strentgh then you can lay out some jamon iberico, bresaola, parma ham, some hard cheeses like comte or parmesan.
