🎄 Merry Christmas from the Pasta Grannies team! 🎄

To celebrate, we joined Maria and Erminia as they prepared traditional cappelletti in broth—a beloved Romagna specialty. As they say, they can’t remember a single year without cappelletti, the classic Christmas Day primo in this region. What are your holiday traditions? We’d love to hear—share them in the comments! Want to try making their cappelletti at home? You can find the recipe on www.pastagrannies.com

  1. When I was young, my family used to gather around the table one evening before Christmas and make cappelletti. My Italian aunts and uncles all sat around the table and made an evening of it. Christmas Day there was a big pot of cappelletti in broth on the stove for guests to enjoy. My grandfather was from Farrara Italy.

  2. this channel brings me so much joy. these grannies are so precious, they remind me of my own grandma. I feel like her philosophy always was that troubles seem lighter and every day is made better by a shared, comforting meal. and seeing all those delicious meals, I wish I had a seat at that table! Merry christmas to you!

  3. With that filling and that broth, those Cappelletti must be truly delicious! Auguri, buone feste! ❤

  4. I love seeing these traditional meals, and it certainly looks like it'll warm you up on a cold day.
    Happy festivities to everyone.

  5. Had them yesterday. Such a comforting and delicious family tradition!

They can be made well in advance and stored in the freezer. Add to the broth still frozen and allow for a longer cooking time. A part of the family gets together on a Sunday in early Dezember to make them, so it's not a huge strain to serve them on Christmas day (as a primo piatto, mind you!).

  6. I believe that Pasta Grannies had something to do with the Italian cuisine recently receiving the UNESCO cultural heritage award. You’ve shown the world that it’s not just spaghetti and meatballs! Buon Natale

  18. The old man looks like Capannelle! (a character actor, check I soliti ignoti, he was the Pasta e fagioli eater at the end).

  19. Always heard about the slapping of the pasta sheet, but never heard what it signifies for the pasta…is it thinness?
