I mean, sure… as well as anyone else that’s ever opened a bag of garlic, haha.

I love it when the garlic bag is like the little christmas star on the sysco tree inside the walkin.

Or grinding down an entire bag at once in a robot coupe 🌪️ 🧄

But the actual best is roasting the whole bag on a sheet tray to make smooth roasted garlic paste

Just poured one in the robo coupe

Yeah, pre-peeled garlic usually smells like sour sweat to me. I avoid using. I have yet to find one that smells “fresh” and can definitely tell when it has been used in dishes, particularly those that have raw garlic in it. Not a judgement, I get why folks use it but unfortunately it’s just not the same as using freshly peeled garlic.

We grow our own garlic at home. Usually 120 heads out of a 4×8 raised bed. If you think the smell of a fresh bag of nice garlic is awesome, you’re more than welcome to help dig and harvest at the end of July. It’s the best garlic smell ever.

I still have to go through and cut all the tops off.
Still a pain in the ass
Not so bad as having to peel it all too.
We grind it all up with oil.

Try to buy puree garlic already done and it tastes just like vinegar.

If you want something done right you have to do it yourself.

  10. You wanna smell garlic. . . . Drive through Gilroy California. The self proclaimed largest producer of garlic. You can smell it for miles around.

Yeah. It’s terrible, and even worse when you saute it. Shame on anyone who uses this on their menu
