Looking for that 3M tape ‘patch’ that joins the gasket ends for Kamado gasket kits

Finally joined the Grillers club here and had to replace gasket after a thorough cleaning of my second hand Big Joe. I bought the Onlyfire Chef kit https://amzn.asia/d/gOnsrRQ from Amazon and my dogs managed to find one of the self adhesive end patches and chewed it up before I could replace the gasket. Has anyone got an alternative option for these ‘patches’ without having to buy the entire kit? I used high temp 3M Double Sided Tape VHB Acrylic Foam Adhesive Tape and yes it melted after a high cook. Please help me find this patch tape
