“It is a country that values products of true quality, distinctiveness and ideal biodiversity, therefore for a product of extraordinary excellence such as our extra virgin olive oil – explained Luigi Scordamaglia, director of international markets and policies at Coldiretti and CEO of Filiera Italia -. A special thanks to Ice Agenzia which once again confirms its commitment to promoting Italian excellence in the food and wine sector, strengthening commercial and cultural relations with the Asian continent in a phase of great excitement and opportunity”.

Recognizing sensory quality

Given that Italy boasts the world’s greatest biodiversity, with over 500 cultivars, the purpose of the meeting was to explain how to recognize a quality extra virgin olive oil, through the sensorial experience of tasting, guided by a professional Taster from the Evooschool Foundation. Evo oils from different regions were selected, to better understand the different intensity profiles of smell and taste. On June 5 and 6, other moments of tasting of Evo oils also took place, to accompany visitors in the discovery of our green gold.
