GREER, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A popular Upstate restaurant announced Wednesday it is closing one of its locations to make way for another restaurant.
Tipsy Taco announced that its location on Wade Hampton Boulevard in Greer will close at the end of the business day.
“This isn’t a goodbye, it’s a transition,” the restaurant group said. “We’re incredibly grateful to the Greer community for the years of support, memories, and moments shared within these walls.”
The release said the restaurant group has partnered with Capri’s Italian Restaurant to retrofit the location and transform it into Capri’s.
Renovations are underway, with an official opening announcement expected in February 2026, the restaurant group said.
As part of its growth strategy, the restaurant scaled to a location in Hendersonville, with an additional opening planned in Brevard.
The restaurant said in a release that the Pelham Road and Duncan locations will remain open.
Tipsy Taco first opened its doors in October 2019, the release said.
