The Hotel Cafe on Cahuenga is closing in after 25 years, plans to re-open on Sunset in 2027
Not really a restaurant, but there is a full bar and small bites.

Wow. This place was seen as a place that could launch careers 20 years ago, back when getting a ‘record deal’ was still a thing.
I remember all the aspiring rock songwriter types wanted to play there. Its kind of amazing this place held on as long as it did given what’s happened to the music business.

End of era, gone to many an indie show at this venue over the decades.

I have so many fond memories of seeing artists before they break or showcases. It was never the same after they added the other stage.

I played there before they opened up the space. Also saw an invite-only Death Cab for Cutie album release party there and so much in between. Great memories at that place.

I remember when it first opened. There was a bunch of other venues around there back then, Hotel Cafe was the last one left.

The ultimate ‘ugh, I have to go see my friend’s shitty band play’ venue.
