
Got this cut on sale today. Trying to plan how to cook as this is my second time using the new kamado classic 2.
Is this a good method/recipe to follow?

Also question this has two steps of hour per pound. So my 7 pound cut would take 14 hours? Doesn't seem right.

Looks like a pretty standard rub. If you’re smoking at 250, 14 hours sounds about right. If time is an issue, I did a 9 pound shoulder last weekend hot and fast. 300 degrees, took about 8 hours it get an internal temp of 205. Was very impressed with the result.
Last Friday I did 14 lbs pork shoulder. On KJ 2 at 8 am at 250f. Noon out and wrapped in foil, temp 165f. Bumped KJ 2 up to 300f. 4 pm temp at 205f. Wrapped again in foil and towel. Put in cooler to rest for 2 hours. Amazing!
