Tuna Belly with Strawberries by El Ronqueo
This was such an interesting tin, I was a little nervous given the seemingly odd combination of ingredients, at least with what I'm used to.
Wow… was I surprised…
It was like candied tuna, very sweet with the strawberries, givng a fun texture and almost like caramelized onions in the can as well.
If you enjoy candied salmon or sweet and savory combos(this was more sweet than savory), this is a great tin to try.
It was around $13, I haven't found a source recently to order in the US.
I picked this up a long time ago from a business that is no longer.
Overall, very happy with this one and would gladly get it again.

Love you and your vids so so much! Happy new year, Tyler! Hope it’s a fishy one! 🐟
Those look stellar!
caramelized onions make me wet too
A number of of Asian fish cans come with a sweet sauce, so I can see this working as long as you know what you’re getting into.
Happy New Year to you and your Husband. As always great review!!
Tyler!! So glad to see this as the first review of the new year, what an intriguing tin!
This feels like it could be a 4/1 post not a 1/1 post. How very odd. Happy new year!
I used to get this tin from Iberico Taste, but it doesn’t appear on their site today—even the one with just onions is “Coming Soon.”
Stevia? So it tastes like diet sugar, nice. 😩
Oh man I’m already searching how to buy a can of that
Making gold, sweet fishy gold. Keep it up!
There’s not a better way to start this New Year off than with sweet, savory, and fatty yellowfin tuna belly.
Thank you for sharing!
A toast..
May this year bring us endless paths to follow on our tinned fish journey. May the wind be at our backs as we follow our instincts and share our discoveries with one another along the way… May the oil be with us!
Happy New Year!!!
