I don’t care what anyone says, sometimes some low end salami, a slice of American cheese, and the cheapest white bread in the store with a little bit of mayo just really hits the spot for a quick meal.

I’d have gone with bologna, but, yeah.. A basic, trashy sammie just slaps sometimes. My favorite part of that childhood classic was the first bite always getting stuck to the roof of my mouth.

Those sandwiches are better the next day. Something about the bread getting a little stale and all the ingredients meshing together 👌perfection

  3. I would’ve also chose bologna for nostalgia purposes. I ate a bologna sandwich everyday for years in school. 😋

We call this a sandwich and it’s eaten pretty regularly where I am from

Soccer Mom Sandwiches is what I call them

  6. VexTheTielfling

Mr fancy pants flaunting his waxed paper plates. But fr there’s nothing better than a simple sandwich.

  7. SteelSasquatch

Slap some mustard on there and I’m in. This is just a nostalgic sandwich 🥪

    Typing the truth.

    Following it up with pictures.

I recently went through a salami renaissance. It’s too salty but damn it’s good

Looks fantastic and I would enjoy!
    Especially with a pickle side.

I love salami and cheese sandwiches, and here I thought I was the only one.

Not shitty, this is a totally reasonable sandwich.

Had a fried baloney sandwich in 2nd grade got sick and never liked baloney since. But love a fried hot dog!! Go figure!!

After buying high quality bread for years, after the constant price increases, I’ve moved to cheap store brand bread. I’ve actually been really happy with the swap and money savings.

  15. Quiet-Wing5230

I can feel it sticking to the roof of my mouth

This shit look like it hit with some Doritos 🤤🤤

  17. Moist_Historian_2897

Don’t forget the chips that go on the sandwich

  18. Background_Being8287

Dill pickle sandwich , white bread butter and sliced dill pickles.

  19. Relevant-Specific661

Bro facts but with some chips and put some chips in the sandwich. Crazy

A melt made with Wonder Bread (or similar cheap white bread), salami (thin slices), and provolone is absolutely divine. There’s a little hole in the wall place that has that as their occasional Saturday special.

  21. LuminousLungs

If you had some chips to to with that to balance out the pickles would be a good touch. Maybe even on the sandwich

  22. Crafty_Mammoth_5369

I love a salami, cream cheese and a slice of any yellow cheese on a bagel! Hits the spot

  23. Billytense11

Sorry, I gotta go with hard salami, Swiss and yellow mustard.

  24. galaxy1985

Try melting Swiss onto your salami. It’s amazing.

I love Lebanon sweet baloney…it’s just gotten too expensive unfortunately. For regular baloney I roll it up and eat it that way. Maybe dip it in honey mustard. Actual deli meat has gotten way out of control like 7.99 for around of sliced turkey.

  26. zip-a-dee_doo-dah

I love this meal except instead of mayo I put mustard.

Sometimes it’s hard to find all beef cotto salami from Oscar Mayer

  27. izilovesyou2

Had me until you said mayo. I love mayo too but with salami? I couldn’t imagine anything else but mustard on this sammy.

  28. a_goonie

If you want to fancy it up use some thinly sliced mortadella and good old Kraft singles on un-toasted white bread

  29. Mustard instead of mayo for me, but hell yeah.

  30. HeftyAd2780

Toasted in the pan with a little bit of mayo 👌

does everyone eat off of paper plates now? I feel like it’s so wasteful and I’m seeing it all the time these days.

I did not know lunchmeat sized salami was even a thing, I thought they only sold it in cracker sizes. I need to investigate this more.
