The USA Wine Tasting Team will be there.
Celebrity chefs will be there to demonstrate cooking techniques.
Legendary baseball player Big Papi, David Ortiz will be there with his Ozama Rum.
So will 10,000 people, as Mohegan Sun holds its popular annual Sun Wine & Food Fest, the resort’s largest event. The fest will be held Jan. 22-25.
The popular fest that draws guests from far and wide will be bigger than ever with new features to captivate those attend, said event planner Lauren Willard-Ferguson.
“The best of the best food and beverage opportunity all under one roof.” she said. “There’s something for everyone. We’re only getting better.”

Adam Young, owner of Sift Bake Shop at Mohegan Sun and in Mystic, as well as owner of A.T.Y. Bar & Bonbons, will host “immersive experiences” throughout the weekend.
On Thursday evening they will host a welcome reception with their “Tini’s and treats” at A.T.Y. Bar and Bonbons. There will be passed canapes, mini-martinis, and culinary action stations with guided tours of their new facility at Mohegan Sun.
Young will be on the main stage Friday in the expo center demonstrating the technique behind eclairs, profiteroles, and other pate choux pastries.
“We will have a special surprise for guests at the end of the demo,” Young said.
On Saturday evening Young will be preparing desserts with his team at the “Celebrity Chef Dine Around” located in the Mohegan Sun ballrooms, and the premier event for the weekend.
“I participate in many food and wine events throughout the nation and the contributing chefs and we all agree that this one hosted by Mohegan is truly special,” Young said.

“The casino puts enormous emphasis on highlighting the most talented and famous chefs and celebrity figures to enrich the guest’s experience,” he said. “Hugely talented chefs are engaging directly with the guests and providing dishes, activities, demos, and entertainment throughout the robust weekend schedule.”
Willard-Ferguson said the USA Wine Tasting team, which does competitive wine tasting, will do a blind wine testing seminar at 2 p.m. and on Sunday at noon a class that is the equivalent to teaching those who attend to becoming a first level sommelier.
She said guests will be able try limited edition cigars in the casino’s Clay Pipe Cigar Bar.
Some folks pick a day to attend the event and others make an overnight or weekend getaway of it. There are special hotel packages available for the weekend.
There will be brunch Sunday at The Shed restaurant and on Thursday Beauty & Essex restaurant owned by celebrity chef Chris Santos will kick it off with Cocktails & Chandeliers from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets for the Beauty & Essex event include access to hand-passed cocktails and delicious appetizers.
The four-day celebration will feature celebrity chefs Robert Irvine, Maneet Chauhan, Michael Symon, Esther Choi, Robert Irvine, Scott Conant, Antonia Lofaso, Michael Symon and Young.
Resort officials call the fest “a weekend of bold flavors, award-winning wine, top chefs and exclusive experiences featuring over 1,000 varieties of wine, beer, and spirits.”
