Hi, Happy New Year!
This week we had some good dinners. I’m soaking it all in since I go back to work in just 4 weeks- gonna need to readjust my dinners ☺️
First two photos are of last night’s dinner: Momofuku (chef David Chang’s) “Bo Ssam” recipe, which my family came over to enjoy since my partner does not love pork. He did eat it though. The pork shoulder is salt and sugar cured and roasted for 6.5 hours- I served with jasmine rice, sesame-mayo, and a slaw + some lettuce cups. It’s incredible and I rarely make pork, so it was such a treat. I used my Olive Green Le Creuset that I got myself for Christmas, and it was the perfect pot to use for this.
Photos three and four are of a fun meal- Pickle-Brined Chicken Strips + Baked Macaroni and Cheese. The tenders were really nice and the mac and cheese was incredible (and baked in another new pan of mine, with the Grinch on it). I used Havarti, Sharp Cheddar, and Gruyere for this.
Fifth picture is a family favorite- Ribeye Steaks. For sides I made fusilli “aglio e olio”, with garlic and oil. And brussels sprouts with bacon and rosemary, which is my partners favorite vegetable ever.
Sixth photo is chicken fajita bowls, with rice, corn, and salsa.
Seventh photo is a BBQ Chicken Salad. Super good- I also did make a BLT and BLT Chopped Salad one day this week, but totally forgot to post it.
Final photos are of one more new pot I got. It might be the most beautiful thing I own- the Ruffoni Copper Pot with Minnie Mouse on it. It’s luxurious and the lid is so gorgeous, the sculpture is made of real bronze. It’s breathtaking but I may not use it much because I don’t want to dull it’s shine.

That pot is a work of art and I would never use it if I had one. Good thing I don’t have one! Great looking dinners!
