From practicing what he preaches in his song “C-Walking” at the 2024 Paris Olympics to making a surprise appearance with Wiz Khalifa at Pat McAfee’s “Big Night AHT” in Pittsburgh, Snoop Dogg always seems to be showing up where you least expect him—even in the food world. Not only does the rapper have a line of red blend wine with 19 Crimes, alongside his bestie Martha Stewart’s chardonnay, but he also sells an array of Dr. Bombay ice cream flavors in the freezer aisle.
If you were shocked by that, then you’ll want to hold onto your seat for this next piece of news: Snoop Dogg has cookbooks. And not just one but two, filled with some of his all-time greatest recipes, like his “Rolls Royce PB-Chocolate Chip Cookie” or The King Classic Caesar.
We know what you might be thinking: Do the recipes contain an extra, uh, herbal ingredient? No, unlike Willie Nelson’s cannabis-filled cookbook, the D-O-double-G’s “From Crook to Cook” cookbook recipes are all THC-free. Though, of course, some of the recipes, like his beloved fried bologna sandwich, certainly make for a tasty munchie.
While the recipes do not contain what Snoop calls his “herbs and spices,” it’s no surprise the rapper calls his “greatest” recipe brownies. Snoop’s homemade Bow Wow Brownies are a decadent chocolate dessert filled with chocolate morsels and served with ice cream and extra chocolate sauce.
“The key is to make sure they’re nicely baked,” Snoop writes. Puns aside, yes, this is the base recipe for Snoop’s special brownies, too. “If I really want to take it up a notch, I might even add a dash of my secret ingredient—a sprinkle of Snoop’s herbs and spices really gives those things a kick,” he writes. “They’ll come out the oven smelling real aromatic, and a couple bites will leave you feeling like you’re on cloud nine.”
Whether you add the extra Snoop-loved ingredient or not, the fudgy brownies served with ice cream make the perfect dessert. Here’s how to make Snoop’s iconic recipe.

Directions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (162 degrees C) and move an oven rack to the middle position. Butter an 8×8-inch square baking pan and set aside. Whisk flour, salt, and baking soda together in a small bowl until well combined.Combine sugar, butter, and milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 1/2 cups chocolate morsels until melted and smooth. Add eggs and vanilla; stir until blended and smooth. Gradually add flour mixture to chocolate mixture, stirring until just combined. Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the top with remaining 1 cup chocolate morsels. Bake in the preheated oven until brownies are set and the edges look baked, 25 to 30 minutes, rotating the pan about halfway through baking to ensure even cooking. Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool. Cut brownies into six large squares. Serve topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, if desired.
