Had SV rib eye with lobster for new years. Cheers 🥂
Used the Breville Joule turbo on these rib eyes for about 45 minutes and then into a searing hot cast iron for about 30 seconds on each side.
The lobster was not SV’d. That was done on a 400° oven for 10 minutes.

Thank you for your picture post to r/sousvide. We want to remind everyone of Rule #5. Posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.
If you’ve posted a picture of something you’ve prepared, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn’t really fostering any discussion which is what we’re all aiming for.
Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.
Thank you!!

Is the lobster SV? If so, how’d you do it? My guess is no, which I think is the normal approach.

Hopefully you have better luck with your Joule than I did. I’ve had 4. All had a bad habit of losing connection in the middle of the night. Including 2 fatal errors. Nothing like your app telling you that your unit is forbidden from being used on your 3rd cook at 3am. 🤞🤞🤞🤞 for you.
