I am new to the group but not new to smoking, I just upgraded from my PitBoss I had it for 7 years no issues outside of inconsistent temperatures between 200-225.

Congrats! I just got the same one yesterday too. Tonight I’ll be cooking chicken thighs as recommended. Last night I got it all cleaned up and burned in.
Can’t wait to use this for all sorts of meals! It replaces my propane cabinet smoker.

Just got a 1000 Yesterday. Love it so far. Already two racks and 4 leg quarters in. Do the firmware update. Seems to hold temp almost exact afterwards.

How’s the space on the upper rack between the top of the smoker? I have a GMG trek (which is comically small) and looking to upgrade ASAP. Recteq is my current frontrunner besides the Grilla Mammoth.

Just got one also. After about 15 years in the game, I’ve gone from a treager to a GMG and now this beast, and still only halfway to the cost of a LSG or Yoder. Ironically, none of them died before being replaced, so I am skeptical about the “buy it for life” argument. I enjoy the upgrade excitement.
