Just not having the stress of making sure nothing contained any animal products was such an immense relief. And the sheer variety of food they had was just amazing! I tried to have one of everything but failed. I'd say 80% of the food was good, 5% was excellent, and the rest was meh. Nothing was outright bad.

Sorry I didn’t add this in the post. This vegan buffet happens every full moon day at the Mount Lavinia Beach Hotel, in Mount Lavinia, Sri Lanka. Full moon days are considered sacred for Buddhists and a lot of people here refrain from animal products on that day. The buffet is created by Chef Pabilis Silva, arguably the best chef in the country.
