No sense in manually moving each piece. Just rotate.

I just figured this out last night. Maybe I’m late to the party.

They make grates that are specially designed to spin easily.

Are you going to do a “more charcoal for increased temps” post tomorrow?

  3. Zealousideal_Let_380

    Give this man a “metal” 🤣 🥇

  4. Still_Opinion_6621

i like the lift the grate then push all the coals to the other side

  5. bigmanlittlebike89

Woah, next thing you’re going to discover is that a meat thermometer can tell you the EXACT temp something is for doneness!

SnS Grills announced the Easy-Spin grate 10’ish years ago, and grillers the world over figured this out when the first Weber kettle was released 74 years ago (1952).

Glad I’m not as repulsed or annoyed as everyone else in this comment section. It’s whatever, haha.

That’s pretty cool. I like to put my grill inside a furnace to get it super hot too!

Sorry dude, hate to rain on your hack parade…
But this is like those ; “a chef tought me this” videos and the person cuts an onion, badly, might I add.

    Reminds me of Mr. Deeds.

    Genius! Genius! Genius!

Slow down! You just invited fire, now you invented a grate rotation system. What’s next, the internet?

  14. Elguapo69

Oof do t think this was the reaction OP was hoping for lol

  15. rhapsodicink

Well, I didn’t think about this, so thanks for sharing.

How much did you take at that party? It should not have taken inebriation to figure this out.

good method for flare ups but requires a semi clean grill

  18. Box_of_Rockz

People are gunna clown me, but I just got a Webber for the first time and seeing this did teach me something lol. I did a whole chicken yesterday and did like 95% indirect and 5% direct to crisp it up at the end. I had to slide it over (which wasn’t a problem) but spinning the grate around would have made me feeel smort

My favorite hack is using tongs so I don’t burn my digits.

  20. EthanDC15

In OP’s defense not every one of these classic style grills is able to do this

Source, tried it with my no namer cheapie from Walmart lol.
