Im a bit tipsy and tired, so I don’t have the energy to provide detailed tasting notes for all of the wines.

But overall, the 2011 Palmer was the most favored. Excellent.

The 1976 Dom had some life left in it, but only a little. Well past its prime.

The Mayacamas tasted slightly corked.

The valdicava and La Rioja Alta, and Crocker were what everyone expected, great, but no surprises. Personally, I’m a big fan of the barnyard funk in the Valdicava, so I enjoyed that.

The Charles Krug improved with time, strangely. Initially it tasted dead, but in an hour could taste more notes of raisin and tobacco.

The tokaji was perfectly serviceable with desert.

Overall, great success.

Very nice. What’s the vintage on the Valdicava?

Don’t invite the guy who brought the Daou back.
