Where I live we call it egg in a hole😋 or at least that’s what we called it as kids

Toad in the Hole. You also take the bread home, butter it up too and fry it a little and the squish some shredded cheese if your fancy to make a little cheese toastie to dip in the eggy.

I’ve only ever known it as a Top Hat… it looks like a top hat when you put the buttery round toasted circle back on top.Common breakfast in my house growing up.
