In response to another post about Mac n cheese. I give you Mac n cheese n tuna. The wife normally likes canned peas with it, but we’re out.

throw in a can of cream of something soup and you have a casserole

Honestly this slaps. I love tuna with velveeta Mac and some Sriracha for heat. If you add a dash of kewpie mayo, it amps up the flavor 😋

White cheddar, frozen peas (they thaw in the warm pasta) and metric fuckton of fresh pepper

Struggling to stay keto at the moment

  4. Wrong-Chef-3406

This is so good, I personally add mayo and put it on a sandwich

Getting down to the European roots huh lol

Honestly don’t hate the combination, but there are a few ways to plus it up

i see this vision once you mentioned peas. my mom makes tuna pasta salad and it’s just tuna noodles peas and celery. very yummy

eta: AND MAYO. ITS NOT DRY.

Add mayo (Dukes) and Sriracha. Eat it all the time

One really good trick is after you mix it up put it in the pan and add a little bit of shredded cheese. I always put some pepper flakes in it too. When you mix it all up and fry it just a little bit it’s amazing.

Tuna with mac n cheese slaps, but I don’t like it just dumped in like this haha. I prefer sautéing the tuna with some butter, garlic, and red pepper flakes before adding it to the mac!

Throw in some heinz tomato soup, maybe some chilli flakes. Yea I would. If you’re out of pease throw in some sweetcorn.

I occasionally eat this and it grosses my husband out. Oh well, he eats gas station taquitos from time to time and has the same effect on me. But I like all the additional adds mentioned here to give it a boost. 😊👍🏽 Thanks!

  14. I like tuna in boxed mac & cheese with a lot of black pepper.

The cheap and fast version of Tuna Noodle Casserole
    Delicious

  16. Unusual_Form3267

Ok, but it’s actually really good.

Also, sub tuna for chorizo if you’re ever feeling wild.

  17. Routine_Mud_19

One of my favorites. Piece of Kraft single cheese for the added content is clutch.

  18. Odd-Scientist-2529

This is delicious. But frozen peas instead of canned.

Tuna mac is actually pretty good. I was skeptical at first too.

    You are valid

Ever put Lay’s chips on top?

  21. mike_030852

Make it a casserole at this point and add spicy sauce on top . 10/10 would smash

I say this goes pretty hard, good easy way to get some protein in your diet as well.

  23. CommunityWitch6806

Adding peas makes this even better

  24. Honestbabe2021

I love tuna. I crave it more than any other protein. I like it on pasta marinara w olives capers and feta too. Lots of chili flakes. So damn good. I’d definitely eat that.

  25. langsamlourd

Almost my exact comfort food, but with canned chicken instead of tuna. Then a whole bunch of stuff like pepper and Italian seasoning, Sriracha, etc. Good stuff

  26. FeistyAsaGoat

Mom had a small army to feed. This was one of her easy meals.    Also did a variation with hot dogs instead  of tuna.

  27. Big_Lengthiness3450

It’s basically Tuna Helper. It just looks intentionally not appetizing because it isn’t mixed.

  28. thegreatimmaculate

Spring for the HEB Mac, or whatever is better, it’s still cheap as hell

  29. CharmingAwareness545

I do this with sardines and soy sauce.

So many people in here never heard of tuna mac…??? Lmao. It’s like such a basic cheap/ comfort food where I’m from. And no it isn’t gross at all, honestly.
