
After many (delicious) attempts, I believe I've perfected the taste and consistency of this healthy treat. All you need is a blender
Ingredients: 1 cup frozen avocado chunks, 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (I use original), 1 scoop of protein (I use unflavored grass fed whey isolate), 1 flavored electrolyte stick (I use a generic kiwi strawberry).
Mix the milk, protein, and electrolyte packet before adding the avocado, and do so by shaking, not blending. Blending the initial mixture can make it foamy, resulting in less than ideal consistency.
After adding the avocado – When blending, you have to pause a few times and shake the mixture back to the bottom of the blender. You can do this by tapping on the top of the blender, or disconnecting and making a forceful downward movement with a sudden stop. It's worth it. In the end it should have very small avocado chunks present, but be 90%-ish smooth.
Yield is larger than picture shown. 360cal 34g protein 20g fat 5g net carbs (the electrolyte stick used has 1g carbs.)
