As the title says, turns out Santa listened, and I was on the nice list, so I got this amazing Nordic Ware pan. I immediately had to test it twice this weekend.
The original recipe for this pan – here – felt too much like summer, with the lemon flavor, so I opted for another honey based recipe. I made these honey cakelets, only used a black tea and chai spices mixture instead of chamomile, to feel more like winter. Sprayed the pan with baking oil spray, and it was very ease to get them out, I just had to turn the pan over. They turned out so yummy and juicy, with slightly crunchy borders! I am in love.
Brought one batch to Grandma's birthday on Saturday, and second batch to dinner with friends on Sunday, everyone liked it. I'm also happy that you can fill just the bottom and make separate pieces, or fill it up more to make pull-apart cake.
Does anyone else here have this pan, and do you have any favourite recipes to bake in it? Doesn't have to be (bee, haha) honey related.
