First time buying meat from Walmart, but how could I not??

Guessing the 33525 is the Julian date it was packed, so the use or freeze by date of 1/5 is the recommended limit of wet aging – 35 days.

Planning to trim and cook for a dinner party (8 adults) this Friday, 1/9.

If the use by date is today I would keep the receipt, open it immediately and smell it. If it smells okay freeze it. If it doesn’t try and get a refund.

Damn reminds me of 2008 pricing.  Used to cut bone in New York/Ribeye for 6.99 and 7.99 on special now 15.99 locally.  I don’t look at the filet pricing anymore because I might just loose it.

Can’t lose with a money back guarantee if you don’t have morals.

Damn at that price id try making a beef wellington

High beef prices have yielded a magnitude of managers specials trying to rid excess stock.

I will probably get some hate for this but at that price I’m grabbing the excess wagyu fat from my freezer and I’m grinding this into hamburger and doing burgers all week.

I picked up a prime rib from there today for less then $9 a lb

Is that a hole in the package above the label?

  9. I caught these on sale at Walmart two years ago. I bought 4 and cut 1” ribeyes from them. If I caught them now I’d smoke them whole.

Got the same deal for new years. Don’t even really like filet but can’t exactly turn this down.

    Beef prices are idiotic

    **On Sale*

Nah that’s just the proper price. I hate this place
