Oh that’s much prettier than the standard pineapple ring with a cherry in the middle!

Not OP but if you want to try this, it’s helpful to have a ball of foil or a cup to set against the fruit until you get enough in there that they won’t fall over. Looks super yummy!!
Edit: I thought of something else: using a ladle to slowly add the batter, at least until the fruit is covered, helps keep the design intact.

Oh how lovely!

Ugh. I hate that I’m allergic to pineapple now. It sucks, cuz pineapple tastes like sunshine and this looks so dang good.

This is so pretty and seems simple!

I love this approach. Easier to slice and distribute filling/topping evenly. I’ll be trying this. My next Bundt cake will banana chocolate bread from Chrissy T.’s book!

Wow that’s fantastic. I showed the photo to my wife, she says she’ll try it. Thanks for posting.

Now THAT’S thinking outside the box! Wow. Just one question, and you may not have the answer: Do you think the pineapple has the same chance to caramelize this way as it does in the flat placement?

I did this once and it still gets brought up from time to time. Pineapple-Mango also works really nice.

Just a suggestion….Make slice channels when you arrange the pineapple one inch wide and leave the cherries out of them.
