Your Red Velvet cake looks beautful, and very moist with the butter and the oil. A + recipe, great baking tips! Happy New Year Tammy
I used to make this for holidays years ago. But my family has me doing pies these days. I did the peanut butter pie. They loved it. I'm watching the country fried steak and hungry 😂❤
Have you ever made your Red Velvet Cake with the traditional Ermine frosting? I love it so much more than the cream cheese frosting. It compliments the cake and doesn't overshadow it.
I wish you'd make Ermine frosting sometime.
Love your channel ❤️ Thank you and God Bless 🙏❤️
Oh my goodness, this cake looks delicious!
Hi Tammy! Red Velvet Cake is a Christmas tradition at our house but is a huge fave with my crew any time of the year! Thanks so much for the demo of your recipe along with the baking and decorating tips. I always learn something new watching your videos! Appreciate the time and effort you and Chris put into them! 🙂
I like my great aunt's recipe better and her cook frosting, I don't care for the cream cheese frosting
Tammy, I love the red sprinkled on top. It's so pretty!! Making my mouth water too.
Looks wonderful. I always butter and flour my cake pan, and like your mother, I smack the pan on the sink to release the loose flour 😜
Hope you had a Merry Christmas….Youre a fantastic cook and baker….ive never had a red velvet cake…looked delicious and just beautiful….Have a Hapoy New Year thanks for all you do on here.

Why are the recipes different? The one printed here on the Youtube, it says 3/4 cup butter, 3/4 cup oil but on your website it is 11/2 cups butter.
That looks great! I will definitely need to try this…yummy 😋
Hey Tammy, where did find your large measuring spoons?
thank you for the video and where is the recipe?
Great video, very informative for me. Thanks for the tips.
Yum Tammy! I'd like a slice of that right now with my morning coffee ☕️ 😋
I love red velvet cake, and I love cream cheese frosting, however, I use an ermine frosting. It is delicious.
What kind of mixer is that, and where do you find it?
i love your recipes thank you so much happy holidays
You are such a good baker. That’s the hardest for me. Food easier. I watch you though and I think I can get better at it. ( I have the same stove as you !)deb Az ❤
Beautiful Cake 🍰 Happy New Year ❤️
That looks delicious Tammy! I love red velvet cake and cupcakes!
I was going to ask you about your mixer, so Ty for the information.
It was 2.04 on the first and 2.2 on the last.
Willard Scott recipe is the best
Joyce from Georgia . I agree that Willard Scott’s red velvet cake is the best I ever ate
Hey Tammy and Chris! Happy Tuesday! That cake is pretty and looks delicious. Thank you for sharing. ❤
I always enjoy watching your cake decorating skills.
BTW, your mixer hums quietly so we can hear you talk when it is mixing.
🌺Aloha! You brought out that high glass dome for tall cakes. Can you tell me where to purchase that please. I thought you were going to list it here but I couldn’t find it. Mahalo!
I love my Kitchenaid mixer. I use various attachments to make food prep so easy. It's the red Cadillac of my kitchen counter. Cake looks good.
Your recipes are always the best!!
Thank you so much!
I will never put more than 3 T. cocoa powder. There's that fine line between a red velvet and light chocolate cake. So many "bakers" trying to reinvent the red velvet cake. So many new varieties no one knows what am actual, true red velvet cake tastes like. The velvet texture is actually from the vinegar/baking soda folded in at the very end. Buttermilk is essential for the flavor. red velvet is a more dense cake due to shortening not oil and no baking powder. This newer generations are actually adding coffee to enhance the"chocolate" . I have to school them that a red velvet cake is not a chocolate cake dyed red 🙄😂. I nearly pass out when they think cream cheese is the original frosting. Most have no idea what the TRUE/ original boiled icing/ ermine is 😂 cream cheese is my favorite icing, but not on red velvet. I have to stick with a true old fashioned red velvet. 😢😅😂
