Edison’s Ice Cream is opening a new location in Northern Colorado, revitalizing the historic Salzman building.

GREELEY, Colo. — A Fort Collins-based ice cream company is opening a second location in Colorado.

Edison’s Ice Cream announced it will open a new location in downtown Greeley in the spring. The second shop joins Edison’s existing location in Old Town Fort Collins.

The new shop will open in the historic Salzman building at 911 8th Ave. in downtown Greeley. The address was home to Salzman Shoes for 82 years before closing in 2017.

Edison’s said it is working with the Greeley Historic Preservation Commission to renovate the space, ensuring the updated design honors the building’s legacy.

“Continuing Edison’s growth in another historic building feels incredibly meaningful,” said Edison’s founder, Nate Frary. “Just like our Fort Collins location, the Salzman building has a rich past and a special place in the community. We’re thrilled to help carry that history forward and create a space where people can make sweet new memories.”

Edison’s said the Greeley shop will feature its premium ice cream, including gluten-free, non-dairy, classic dairy ice cream and seasonal flavors.
