Watched them for 2 weeks and noted the code date. Went in this morning, had about 8 left. Meat guy happened to be right there. I asked him if he would mark them down after showing him the date. He happily did so!
Right into the freezer!

What’s the logic? One is marked to $4.67 and one to $4.20 a lbs…

When are you able to request something be marked down?

Nice! Try Julia Childs recipe with the mustard mayo. You dry the leg in the fridge and paint with may every day for 3 I think. Amazing. Best au jus I’ve ever had with lamb.

I usually look for good leg of lamb deals at Publix and sometimes it’s there, but these are absolute steals god damn

Straight on the smoker. 120 for 10 hours and then fire it up for a nice crust. Definitely make your own mint sauce.
Edit, 110.

not cool that they covered the expiration date

I always make a stop at the “Marked Down” corner of the meat counter. It’s my Go To for all things lamb! Usually various chops with imminent pull dates.
