Howdy again. Back at it with Vietnamese food this time. I've been searching for the best Vietnamese restaurant in town comparable to home (Houston), and I've firmly settled on The One Pho. That being said, why don't more people talk about this place? Here's my breakdown:
The best pho I've ever had was their Bone Marrow Hot Stone Pho. Rich, savory, and DEEP bone broth plus house made noodles. The best Banh Mi I've ever had was their Coldcut Style Banh Mi. Amazing baguettes, pate, and ample meats. A new dish I tried was their Bò Né Combo (House Favorite Combo), which blew me away. The Vietnamese sausage, meatball, and sauce were flavor explosions. Their Kumquat Sugarcane Juice was ultra fresh and tasted like real fruit. Sure it can be a bit pricey for some items, but it's on par for Austin pricing and all the items were worth EVERY PENNY.
If you think that Pho Phong Luu, Fresh Bowl, Sip Pho, Bep Saigon, Pho Saigon, Tan My, Saigon512, etc are the best in town and haven't tried The One Pho… please try it out. I just keep thinking about the food.
