Interesting, what pros and any cons to doing this?

I have one and I love how it holds heat, and creates a large indirect zone. My biggest complaint is the grate shelf risers tip over and fall in the gap between the inset and the kettle. I do like having space between the grate and the heat diffuser plate, but maybe it isn’t necessary.
