Butter – in the pan.
Kewpie mayo – spread on the outside of the bread.
Cream cheese – spread inside both pieces of bread.
Cheese – Layered sharp cheddar, slice of american, queso chihuahua, and then sharp cheddar again.
Grilled to my satisfaction.
Soup – tomato.

That looks and sounds delicious, and I feel like you are a kindred spirit! I love to do a multiple-cheese grilled cheese, and I always include sharp cheddar. I can’t believe I’ve never thought to include cream cheese inside, but it’s a wonderful idea. (I have put it inside an omelette with bacon, diced jalapeno, and cheddar, and it’s my favorite combination! I’ve also spread jalapeño cream cheese inside a tortilla to make a quick quesadilla with pepperoni and mozzarella.)
