Keto bread is usually perpetually on sale for $5 a loaf at my store but they had the AUDACITY to try to charge $8. Just to save 15 calories a slice?? Not my cheap ass.
Used my panini press to make a sandwich with turkey slices, I can’t believe it’s not butter light, Italian cheese blend, mushrooms, and red onions. 303 calories & 28g protein. Keto bread is dead to me lol

Keto is so stupid. Just count calories and focus on eating protein and vegetables and limit rice or bread to one serving.
I’m sure that tastes way better than keto bread. I always feel like I’m eating cardboard when I eat my husbands keto bread
Mmmm, the sandwich looks amazing. 😍
I think that sounds like a very sensible choice. Sometimes we really sacrifice flavor for a whole 15 calories.
A suggestion, though: I would weigh those slices. Generally bread is around 200-275 calories per 100g, so I do think the label isn’t wrong. But I’ve noticed over the years that a lot of prepackaged goods muck with how much a “slice” is.
Like I am seeing 13 big slices and 2 “end” slices. I would guess there’s an extra 10 or so calories per big slice.
Keto bread is one of those items that is just not worth the hype. It’s way smaller and often just sliced a lot thinner than regular bread and ridiculously overpriced. All of that is true, but the one thing that often gets overlooked is it is nowhere near as filling as whole grain bread.
If I eat a sandwich at lunch with keto bread versus regular, honestly, I don’t notice a massive difference in flavor, but I do notice an immediate difference in satiety. Whole grain breads give you fiber and other nutrients which slow digestion and make themselves the win as far as I’m concerned.
I have this dilemma with gluten-free bread (doctor did a food allergy panel and that was my trigger). But its $8 at the store vs just having regular white bread. Barley is less triggering than wheat so i end up doing that instead.
Keto bread sucks. And gives me turbo mega hosebutt
I only eat the keto bread to cut sugar. As a calorie cutting measure I agree it’s probably not worth it. It was a godsend when I had gestational diabetes though.
