Will cooking these in the slow cooker dry them out too much?
I have a pack of these, and want to have them with bbq sauce, but am worried since theyre so lean that they might just end up totally dried out with the long cook time of a slow cooker?

Full send. If it looks dry add moisture. Repeat.

I made these in the crock pot with bbq sauce last week and they did not dry out! I did an hour in high to get them going faster and then a few more hours on low.
I have done this, or cooked them in some other liquid like broth along with carrots and potatoes.

Most country style pork ribs are made from pork shoulder, so there should be enough fat content that they wouldn’t dry out

I make em in the slow cooker with barbecue sauce and a chopped onion. Comes out great.

Not at all. Just made some on Tuesday with potatoes, carrots and sauerkraut.

I have done it three times. Two times it cooked perfectly, the third it was insanely dry and inedible. Luck of the draw I guess. The time it went awry was from a different grocery store than the first two.

As long as it’s pork shoulder or ribs and water dry out slow cooker. I like to add some broth, onions and garlic, and what other herbs and seasonings you like. The barbecue sauce can burn, so I would only add the barbecue sauce in the last 20 to 30 minutes. Or put it on top and finish them off in the oven.

Look up Granny Lin’s Crockpot Ribs 😊

Brine them first with salt and your bbq seasoning for a few hours before cook. Maybe 90 min at 225? Then sauce and cook in at 275 for 15 min. Or cut them up smaller and make meat candy with brown sugar/honey with a sweet bbq sauce

Those are better suited for the air fryer, perfectly done in 12 minutes.

That’s basically just a particular cut of pork shoulder, it should be fine.

It’s hard to overcook country style ribs

I do pork and beans with these all the time!

They will dry out…I would not try to cook them in a slow cooker. Like you stated…loin chop…not enough fat in them…I would cook them hot and fast …nice dry rub, pan sear in cast iron, oven at 400 for 10 minutes ( in the cast iron pan), pull and sauce…broil until sauce is caramelized

Just put some sauce and salt on them and put them in the oven. Delicious meat there.
You could probably slow cook them in a way you’d have pull apart meat.

Here’s one folks have a tough time believing…two packs of these country style pork ribs or similar cut. Two cans of jellied cranberry sauce. Slow cook on low for 8-10 hrs depending on preference.
Un-real…

Those look too lean to be country style ribs, but if they are season them and let them cook

They shouldn’t. Just check temps with a thermometer after a few hours and check how much cooking time they need. Using some liquid and sauce can help keep it moist. Low and slow better.
And when I say liquid, you don’t need much. I add about 1/2 cup broth to add flavor.
