Mmmm. I commend you on your effort. i can’t be bothered to make all the components from scratch, too lazy!

I do what I imagine my ancestors did and just mix leftover banchan together when i have the right ones that taste good together. It’s one of those dishes with humble origins but a real PITA to build completely from scratch.

Even the makgeolli… Your bibimbap skills show you’ve done this many times before. Where do you live?

All your Korean foods look so good, good job. The pot does look a bit small for mixing everything but still looks tasty

The first time I ordered bibimbap here in Chicago, the server kept coming back and saying, “Mix it!” Even after I had mixed it. Then I found out bibimbap means “mixed rice.” Loved it, once I had mixed it.

this looks so good but im thinking maybe im a food safety nut because i never use the same chopping board for veggies and meat! although i guess maybe its alright if the meat is the last thing chopped 🤔? I should probably chill out in the kitchen lol

  8. Everything looks so good and legit like how my mom used to make it. You even have the proper maekgeoli jahn (which my daughter uses as a ramen bowl 😆)

I love this. Love the little spills and busyness of it. Real and beautiful 🙂

    p.s. hi fellow seattleite!
